How can you generate electricity in an environmentally friendly way? How does a fuel cell work, and how can it be used to generate hydrogen? Renewable energies are the most important energy sources of the future. The generation, storage and use of electricity from the natural energy sources of water, wind and sun are clearly explained using nine models and 28 experiments.
- Main topics extraction, storage and use of electric power / energy sources such as water, wind, sun and hydrogen
- Includes downloadable teaching and activity material (free download)
- Components include a solar motor (2VDC), 2 solar modules (1VDC, 400mA), a goldcap energy storage device, an LED, a fuel cell, a voltage converter, and a multimeter
How is environmentally friendly power generated? How does a fuel cell work, and how can you use it to produce hydrogen? Renewable energy sources will become the most important sources of energy in the future. Nine models and 28 experiments are used to demonstrate the production, storage and use of electricity from natural sources like water, wind and solar power. Powerful solar models can be attached in different ways for versatile use in the models. The included Gold Cap serves as an energy storage system, which can also output stored energy. The fuel cell clearly demonstrates how water is split into the two components hydrogen and oxygen. This teaches children about future energy sources and helps them learn important skills. A full set of lesson plans helps teachers use the STEM Renewable Energies set in the classroom.
Students will be able to build 9 functional models, to learn all about how energy from wind, water, sun, and fuel cell technology is generated, stored, and used. Models include a hand generator, wind turbine, wind power plant, vertical wind turbine, water turbine, electric vehicle with solar panels/and with gold cap/with fuel cell.
Components in this set include a solar motor (2VDC),2 solar modules (1VDC, 400mA),a goldcap energy storage device, an LED, a fuel cell, a voltage converter, and a multimeter.
Also includes access to downloadable tutorial materials with 28 different experiments.
Materials come packed in sturdy plastic Gratnells storage box with transparent lid.

CHEM C3000 is the ultimate chemistry set. This kit includes all of the components from CHEM C2000, plus dozens of additional tools and chemicals, and 100 additional experiments, for a total of more than 333 experiments. The 192-page, full-color experiment manual is written at a more advanced level than the other CHEM kit manuals. You could call it a textbook, but the manual is too much fun to make that comparison. CHEM C3000 has a similar hands-on approach to teaching chemistry as our other CHEM kits, but also teaches more advanced topics such as chemical equations, atomic structures, and the periodic table. These concepts are critical to continued study of chemistry. CHEM C3000 is an excellent preparation for highschool level chemistry. Ages 12 and up.
An economy model planetarium. Moon, Earth and Venus globes are rotated, revolved separately by hand. The twilight zone ring enables young students to better understand the nature of dawn and dusk. Underarm chain drive keeps the North Pole pointing to Polaris, the North Star. Durable, colorful plastic with brass and steel parts. Complete quality planetarium at a low price.
The Solar System as seen from earth. This model shows the five planets and moon as Ptolemy described them in his famous book, "The Almagest". It describes accurately all the naked eye phenomena of our Solar System. The fact that most of the motions described by this geocentric system are incorrect cannot detract from the fact that to the unaided human eye all these incorrectly described motions appear correct. The use of the Ptolemaic model together with the Copernican model improves student understanding of the motions of the heavenly bodies. 14" high x 20" long. With fully-illustrated instruction book.

Accompanied by teaching materials which include lesson plans and task sheets with educational plan references, the CLASS SET Solar Energy is ideal for teaching technical content at the primary level.
Learn about optical phenomena in the classroom and conduct experiments with light! Discover the concepts of umbra and penumbra, look at exciting objects under a magnifying glass, or tell the time using a sundial. These and other exciting topics are fun to learn about using the CLASS SET Optics. The building kit offers six models that are quick to build and easy to use in the classroom, alongside 6 exciting experiments.
Set contains collection of 16 individual trays of parts (recommended: 15 student units, 1 teacher unit). Each tray of parts can be used by 1 to 2 students at a time, depending upon teacher preference. All 16 trays come packed in two sturdy fischertechnik “Box 1000” storage units, with baseplate lid.
Students will be able to build 6 instructional models, including: magnifier with illumination penumbra and umbra, Ray path, gyroscope, sundial, and tablet/smartphone magnifier.
Includes access to tutorial materials with 6 different experiments.
Total 1200 components.
Age 7 and above.
ABOUT FISCHERTECHNIK CLASS SETS:
The class sets are optimized for regular lessons at the elementary level, designed for group work with two or more students and each dealing with a specific, technical topic. A class set, consisting of 2 blue BOX 1000, contains 16 identical individual sets, so that, for example, 15 pupils (or groups) and one teacher can be equipped with one set. Each individual set is stored in a clearly arranged tray with a printed sorting insert for uncomplicated back-sorting. These trays can be taken to individual work stations by the students to promote a smooth teaching process. Accompanied by teaching materials which include lesson plans and task sheets with educational plan references, the CLASS SET Optics is ideal for teaching technical content at the primary level.
How does a cone gear wheel, a belt drive or a rack and pinion drive work? What happens if the gear ratio changes? Young researchers can discover the answers to these and many other questions through 15 models and twelve experiments. The models are quick and easy to build in the classroom, and the pre-designed tasks and solutions are a great addition.
