The Walter WP-A-LED is a rugged, classroom-ready compound microscope designed for dependable use in middle school, high school, and introductory laboratory settings. Its durable all-metal construction provides a stable platform for viewing prepared specimens, while separate coarse and fine focusing controls allow students to bring specimens into sharp focus.
A 10X wide-field eyepiece with pointer combines with three achromatic objectives—4X, 10X, and 40XR—to provide 40X, 100X, and 400X magnification. The retractable 40X objective helps protect slides and the objective during close focusing.
The standard stage features spring-loaded clips for securing slides, while the built-in 0.65 N.A. condenser and 5-aperture disc diaphragm provide straightforward control of illumination for different specimens and magnifications. Integrated LED illumination provides a bright, consistent light source without the heat and frequent bulb replacement associated with traditional incandescent microscope lamps.
