Type R (Roadway), Class 2

Background Material: 775 sq. in.
Retroreflective Material: 201 sq. in.
Type “R” garments are for occupational workers who are exposed to roadway traffic and who work in an environment with moving equipment/vehicles traveling under 50mph. These garments can have the smallest size in the size range compliant to the standard with a background material minimum of 540 sq. in. to accommodate smaller workers.

Type P (Public Safety), Class 2

Background Material: 450 sq. in.
Retroreflective Material: 201 sq. in.
Type “P” garments provides additional options for emergency responders, incident responders and law enforcement who have competing hazards or require access to special equipment. Type P2 garments differ from type R2 garments mainly in the area requirements for background material.
